World Almanac Video - Free at Last: Civil Rights Heroes (DVD)
World Almanac explores the stories of some of the lesser-known heroes of the American Civil Rights movement. Many of the triumphant moments in the progress of civil rights were catalyzed by the actions of seemingly insignificant individuals, and, often, their tragedies. This documentary seeks to make those tragedies known, woman of the civil right movement and to commemorate the sacrifices made by those against whom they were perpetrated; Emmett Till, Medgar Evers, woman of the civil right movement and the Birmingham Four are all remembered here. In addition, more unfamiliar stories are heard, such as that of Jimmy Lee Jackson.
